Musical - "Back to You: The Life and Music of Lucille Starr"

If you happen to be in Vancouver you can catch the new musical of my stepmother Lucille Starr. Lucille is an important Canadian having the honor of being the first female artist to sell 1 million records and was the first female to record a hit for the newly established record label, A&M Records which helped put Herb Albert's company on the map. Additionally, Lucille was the first female artist inducted into the Canadian Country Music Association’s "Hall of Honor" in 1987 and was also inducted into the Canadian "Hall of Fame." In 1995, her name was embedded into the American Country Music Association’s Walkway of the Stars in Nashville. - take that Celine, Anne & Shania!

As fan and stepdaughter I'm happy to say that Lucille is enjoying a resurgence in Canada and is currently negotiating book and television deals that chronicle her life. In the future you'll see me post here to gather support to nominate Lucille Starr for the Order of Canada.
