Finding a place in Houston that will do proper Canadian passport photos

Does anyone know of a good place that can make proper Canadian passport photos? It seems that the Canadian passport requires a different size. As well, they do not like minor flaws like shadows or reflections in glasses. Thanks for any info.

Mike, the map on the main page has a location pin for VIP Passport services. They have shown to be accurate for Canadian Passport requirements.
Kingwood Photo Lab also does a great job. My wife and daughter just had their passports renewed and they both wear glasses.
I got mine done at WalMart... just make sure they do NOT cut the photos to size, they use an American 2"x2" template. As soon as they take the photo, tell them to not cut it. Take it home and cut it yourself to Canadian specs (2" wide x 2.75" tall). The other US requirements for the photo are the same as Canada's (no reflections on glasses, not smiling, face not obscured, white/off-white background).

So, really the only thing you need to make sure of is that they don't cut the picture.
I have had passport photos done, with absolutely no problems, at the following:

Bill's Immigration Photo & Fingerprinting
(713) 981-9323
6411 Hillcroft St, Houston, TX 77081

He doesn't have expanded hours so be sure to call ahead to verify.

It's really interesting to question this guy as to the procedures and why he has you complete the poses that he does.

Good luck

Donna
I just got my passport photo taken yesterday at Walgreen's. They have a special template for Canadian passport photos, so it comes out the right size (2"x2.75"). This location was at Eldrige and Briar Forest, but I would imagine most Walgreens locations are the same.

I also went to CVS and FedEx Kinkos and both of those places could only do the US 2"x2" photo.
Took my chances at a local CVS ($6.99), and although the overall specs (2x2.75) could be pre-set, and trimmed to exact size......the face specs of 1 1/4 to 1 7/16 blew thru the upper range, purely b/c of the arbitrary distance handheld digital camera stood away. I'll try Kingwood or World Passport.

Any UPS post office can do them, make sure you tell them it is for Canada
Thanks for all the suggestions, folks! I just had my passport pics done at Walgreen's and the sizes are perfect! BUT, their stamp on the back is just one big ink blob now that I'm back at my office. Argh! Back to the drawing board. Anyone know how important the stamp on the back is?
Just discovered this: Walgreens has a passport processing machine that creates the passport photo to dozens of Passport standards, including US, Canadian, UK, Indian, etc.

So, any Walgreens should be able to do a Canadian Passport.
First of all initially I got my photos done at Walgreens the price was CHEAP, but guess what? My photos were rejected which wasted ALOT of time. It was just a pain in the ass all around. After doing a lil asking around here is what i found. I posted this on another Forum and just going to paste it here to spread the knowledge.

I just got my Canadian Passport photos taken at K Photo located at Bellaire Blvd. It was recommended to me by my friends due to their very friendly service and no-rejection guarantees or full refund. Apprantly it's a mom and pop's shop; they specialize in Immigration and Passport photos and has been in the same location for almost 20 years.

They took several photos of me, and i was able to pick the one that i like the most off their computer monitors. And I also noticed that they stamped their business address and date on the back of my photo which i thought was advertisement, but they told me that it's part of the Canadian Passport requirements.

Overall i was extremely satisfied with their service. The entire process took less than 10 mins, and the price was alot cheaper then what i expected.

Oh lastly, here is the address off the back of my photo.

K Photo
9115 Bellaire Blvd #126
Houston TX 77036
Mon-Sun 8:30am-6:30pm

I also went to K Photo and they did a great job.  I previously went to Astro but all of their photos got rejected.  I was also told by Passport Canada not to use Astro anymore.

I live in the woodlands tx anyone know where I can get a canadian passport photo done in my area??
