DESCRIPTION:Tegan Quin and Sara Quin (born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
  on September 19, 1980) are identical twins and Canadian singer-songwr
 iters, performing as Tegan and Sara. They initially played as Plunk in
  1995, and lacked a drummer and bass player. In 1997, they used their 
 school’s recording studio to record two demo albums: \"Who's in Your
  Band?\" and \"Play Day\". In 1998, they made an early breakthrough by
  winning Garage Warz Battle of the Bands, a local music competition in
  Calgary. Since then, the two have toured with Neil Young, Rufus Wainw
 right, Kaki King, The Pretenders, Ben Folds, The Killers, Rachael Cant
 u, Vivek Shraya, Cake, Gogol Bordello, Hot Hot Heat, Ryan Adams, Veda 
 Hille, Little Birdy, Iron On, Little Brazil, Bryan Adams, and Weezer, 
 and they performed a show at Sarah McLachlan's Lilith Fair. They are s
 igned to Neil Young's Vapor Records in Canada, and to Sire in the Unit
 ed States as their previous label, Sanctuary Records, is no longer rel
 easing new music in the United States. Currently, Tegan lives in Vanco
 uver, British Columbia and Sara lives in Montreal, Quebec. When they w
 ere competing in Garage Warz, they were known as \"Sara and Tegan\" be
 cause that is how their mother registered them on the competition form
 s. Their first album, Under Feet Like Ours, was initially released und
 er the name \"Sara and Tegan\". While both twins are similarly involve
 d in vocals and playing instruments, the singing of the lead melody us
 ually goes to whichever twin wrote the particular song. The two hardly
  sang together in the recordings of their early records, but they star
 ted to more on their later records and of course do when live. On thei
 r 2004 album, \"So Jealous\", the two lend their unusual voices and si
 mple guitar riffs to power pop ballads about love and emotional, haunt
 ing songs such as Walking With a Ghost. The twins are notorious for th
 eir live act, which includes sisterly banter, tales from growing up in
  and surviving teenhood, and a quirky sense of humor. Their album, \"T
 he Con\", released July 24, 2007, is a definite evolution of their pre
 vious sound and their strongest yet, the twins toured the album for ov
 er a year and a half. The twins are currently in the process of making
  their sixth studio album titled Sainthood to be released in October 2
